Jalen Reagor was a bona fide stud coming out of college. The TCU product posted over 1,000 yards and 9 touchdowns in just his sophomore season. He would later finish his college career after being selected to 3 all-American teams. The speedy wide receiver would ultimately be drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft.
However, Reagor’s NFL career has not gone the way many expected. While has play has been disappointing, catching only 4 touchdowns in his 3 years in the league, his position in the draft, and the player taken behind him, will always cast a shadow over his career. The Eagles may have liked their 21st overall pick at the time, but it will go down as one of the all-time draft blunders with Vikings star receiver Justin Jefferson being selected just one pick later.
Now, Reagor finds himself playing alongside his fellow first-rounder Justin Jefferson in Minnesota. Well, playing might be a little bit of a strong word. Since the Vikings acquired Reagor in a trade last season Reagor has lived up to his reputation by disappointing another fan base. Reagor has only caught one touchdown as a Viking and caused at least double that in interceptions.
With his play declining and the Vikings bringing in new prospects at wide receiver this off season where will Jalen Reagor find himself this season? The answer is likely the bench, or the curb.
